Sil Lohan Chi Kung
Silohan or Small Lohan is a form where a practitioner, unlike in 18 Lohan Kung, doesn’t initiate the external movements first in order to activate the chi, but mentally establishes the chi flow (the internal movement) through internal alignment first, and then uses that inner flow as a motivating impetus for the corresponding physical movement.
This form consists of a number of refined techniques, sounds, breathing-patterns, stimulations through movements of the spine and activation of the three major Dan Tiens, which are all used to balance yin and yang energies. This is a soft, light, elegant and soothing form, described as a series of dragon, snake and bird types of movements.
